Who can join the mentorship programme?
Anyone. There is no minimum level of education and no entry exam — the point of mentorship is to find people a route in, not to screen them out. You choose one of nine tracks, you are matched with a named mentor, and sessions are scheduled from the start. Register as a mentee or see the tracks.
Do I need a degree or a certificate to apply?
No. Whatever your level of education, there is a door in. What we ask instead is that you can commit to scheduled sessions, stay open to honest feedback and act on what you agree between them.
What does it cost?
It depends on the programme — a mentorship track, a Learning Hub course and a capped workshop are priced differently, and figures change between intakes. Tell us which one you are looking at and we will send you the current fee before you commit to anything. Ask about a specific programme.
Is BGHUB Kenya a recognised training provider?
Yes. BGHUB Kenya is a division of Bob Grogan Consulting Ltd and a NITA-registered training provider based in Nairobi. Courses that carry certification say so on the course itself. More about the organisation.
When is the next intake?
It depends what you are applying for. Mentorship runs a rolling intake, so there is no closing date to wait for. Internships run as cohorts — the current cohort has ten positions in Nairobi. Research roles open study by study. Register your interest or see what is open now.
Are courses online or in person?
Both. Learning Hub courses run online at your own pace, with live classes and simulations scheduled alongside them. Workshops are in person with capped numbers so everyone gets hands-on. Mentorship runs in Nairobi and online. Open BG Learning Hub or see what is on it.
What is Worklog, and why does it matter?
Worklog is where a placement becomes a portfolio. You log tasks and attach evidence as you go, your mentor reviews and signs off each session, and coordinators can see a whole cohort. You finish with a documented record of work rather than a claim on a CV.
Can my business buy from the BG brands?
Yes — farm inputs, medical supplies, solar, equipment and general goods, sourced locally and internationally. Tell us what you need, roughly how much, where it must arrive and by when, and we will come back with terms you can plan around. Browse the brands.
Do you work outside Nairobi?
The office and the workshops are in Nairobi, but mentorship and Learning Hub courses run online wherever you are, and sourcing and delivery are arranged by agreement. Ask and we will tell you plainly whether we can serve your location.
